Every Christmas the FBI's PR department sends Agent Bill Muddled on a "Find Santa" promotion.
All they want is publicity. All they get is trouble.

The dying words of his father - "That was just me dressed up as Santa" - drive Agent Muddled to prove there really is a Santa Claus. And nothing, not even the truth, can stop him.

Case# 09-1093

I know it's him. Sure he's got a wife and two kids, works for a bank, but there's something Yuleish in the way he laughs, and I sensed the Christmas Spirit in his office. Agent Sullen says there's nothing paranormal here. Yeah, right. That's like telling me those kids in his neighborhood, who disappear for an afternoon then suddenly show up for dinner, are just hanging at the mall. Still, she's got great eyes...

"A perfect satire..."
- The Midwest Book Review

Christmas starts a bit early this year for Agent Muddled. He's convinced that the spirit of St. Nicholas has taken over the body of a bank manager and is preparing for December 5th, the traditional date of Santa's visit in many European countries. Meanwhile, the FBI's assigned their best agent to keep an eye on Muddled. Posing as his stenographer, Agent Melissa Sullen soon finds herself drawn into a world of intrigue, suspense, and jolly old elves.

Based on reports of local children being tied up in sacks - St. Nick's traditional punishment for the naughty - Muddled ignores Assistant Director B.F. Skinner's warnings and sets out, hot on the trail of the bank manager. But the trail quickly splits in two as he and Sullen encounter a strange little man at an amusement park. The subsequent chase and rooftop climax will leave you wondering if you shouldn't believe as well...

Case# 09-1093

It's summer and they all think I'm off duty; that I'm lying on a beach somewhere relaxing in the..... ok, well who says you have to write reports in a stuffy little office in the sub- sub- sub- sub-basement? The point is, no one was expecting Santa Claus at this time of year, except me. You know, for a jolly old soul, he can be awfully cunning...

"...an amusing spoof"

It's July, and producer Chris Kringle stuns the TV industry by announcing that his planned science-fiction network is going "All-Xmas All The Time" - a sure sign of Santa possession. When a kidnap attempt is made Kringle goes into hiding, but before Muddled can get to him a second attempt succeeds...or is it the first attempt of a second set of kidnappers? Either way, Muddled's convinced that the ultra-secret organization concealing the truth about Santa is at work again!

To access his ultra-secret lead-generating computer program on the off-season, Muddled needs Agent Sullen's help. She's reluctant - still in therapy to deal with her previous close encounter of the Muddled kind - but she soon realizes that someone really is after Santa, not to mention Muddled. After a visit from the Cavity Man, Sullen begins to see that the key to everything rests with Muddled's deceased father. What exactly did he do at the FBI and what secrets are held by his old 8-track tapes, the ones everybody's after?
