Laugh out loud funny!, 20 May 2004

I was enchanted and hypnotized by this site -- it starts out pretty benign with pictures of cows and barbeques, but soon takes a turn into the surreal.
The overall theme seems to be our relationship to the animals we eat, but also explores celebrity idolitry, religion, and music.
Ah yes, make sure you have the sound turned up -- there's an extensive selection of meat-themed music -- yeah, sounds weird but it works. There seem to be sound clips attached to nearly every frame -- the combination of the images, music, and sound had me laughing out loud.
Find a opportunity to spend some time with this site -- it'll suck you in, chew you up, and maybe leave you with some new perspectives!
Bon appetite!

Jenifer Aniston is MEAT, 03 Dec 2003

Tipper Gore found this site after it was rated #1 by Seventeen Magazine:
What is it that attracts teenage girls? Is it the chop call? The Jennifer Aniston expose'? The _cannibalism_? What ARE teenage girls into these days?
Great site!

with no real content except pictures apparently taken from other sites, i can not call, "Meat Planet" a bad site, as that would be degrading to sites that are actually bad, its not a website at all but a collection of stupid pictures. The only chance you have at laughing at this site is not at their so called "humor" but at the sheer stupidity of it.

Humor?, 29 May 2003

I am missing any humor at all on this site. How is it the best rated site on HumorLinks? I can see the majority of the reviewers are right, with the exception of one that stands out; makes one wonder. This is the first review on anything I've ever wrote, and its only ask the people why does this site have such a high rating? Its much funnier to go to a public restroom and read the walls rather than look at a few pictures of meat.

weak at best, 28 May 2003

While it is true the pop-ups are a little annoying, the thing lacking most about this site is CONTENT! All I saw were a few simple pictures of things somehow related to meat, and they were not even that funny. To be a good humor site you need both quality and quantity, this site has neither. Don't waste your life here, it could be spent doing something much more constructive, say taking a shit for example.

Upon entering the page appears THREE pop ups! Then a 10 second freeze. The content is not that funny at all, and there is not much of it. If "Meat Planet" was done as a section of a humor page, it might be acceptable.

Surreal and Hilarious Meat!, 14 Oct 2002

Yes, "Meat Planet" explores meat, but it's also an image- and audio-intensive surreal acid trip through the world of the animals we eat. HOTDOG! Many clickable links provide additional depth and insight. It'll leave you laughing and hungry for more. UMMM, BURGER....
