If you were born in the Year of the Pig, then you are reminded to go for your
inoculation against Swine Fever, between now and the 3rd of August, at any of the
government pig sties operated by the Agriculture and Fisheries Department.
Swine Fever is a killer disease, and the smell is absolutely . . . well, I couldn't
begin to describe it.
Don't make yourself more unpopular than you already are. Get up off your hind quarters
and trot along to the vet before it's too late. Your neighbours will thank you for it -
and it could save your bacon!
Leaflets warning of the dangers of Swine Fever are now available at all government-run
piggeries, tanneries, abattoirs, and rat-infested cesspools - as well as at selected
outlets on the ground floor of Chungking Mansion.
