8th December 1997
Stumbled across a very amusing site The
Murray Walker Quotes Page, and added it to the "Creative" links section. If
you've ever watched Formula One Grand Prix motor racing hosted by Murray Walker, you'll
find this page particularly amusing
5th December 1997
Added a new links section called "New Links" which will contain the
newest 100 links added. New links will also be immediately classified under their relevant
sections. Apparently, HUMORNET UK was Demi-Bee Site of the
Day back in February, so we have added the award to the main page. We are still trying to
get an automatic link from the old site to this one.
26th November 1997
Added The
Complete Collection of Men Jokes and Humor In The News to the
"Creative" links section, and COR! -
a British Comedy magazine to the misc. section of "British Humour" links.
Deleted a few bad links.
17th November 1997
Reluctantly removed some sections dealing with the academic
side of humour, because of space restrictions on this server. My apologies to Jason Rutter.
3rd November 1997
Added Not The
South China Morning Post to the "creative" links section. It's a satirical
site about Hong Kong.
25th October 1997
Warwick Evans has taken over responsibility for running HUMORNET UK at its new location. The
general character of this site (created by Jason
Rutter) will remain unchanged, and his efforts will be preserved and built upon. New
features will be added gradually, step by step. The site will also come under the wing of Double Take, which operates the Double Take Hong Kong Comedy site. Its
official name has therefore been changed to Double
Take HUMORNET UK, but it shall remain separate and different
from its sister site. The small JAVA applet described below has been removed because it
was not working properly. It will be replaced (hopefully) with something similar ASAP.
There are also a few minor, mainly cosmetic, changes. Some links no longer work, and these
will be updated very soon.
4th January 1997
Small JAVA applet added to a number of pages. If you are using a
JAVA-friendly browser this should allow you to go to the main index pages by using a
pull-down menu (you even get a little Sid James laugh too).
1st January 1997
Happy New Year!
Starting the year with good intentions HUMORNET UK
get the beginnings of a major revamp. Beware missing images and weird layouts for a little
while.
