Everything is running smoothly in all departments. However, nobody is
adding any jokes to the Forums.
Perhaps it's too much like hard work. People probably don't have the time to
read the jokes, let alone contribute. However, if you know of any good ones,
please add them.
21st October 1999
We have just received our quarter-millionth
visitor. Thank you all for visiting HumorLinks
and HumorNet UK
14th October 1999
We have added a "Report Dead Link"
facility to each site listed to make it easy for visitors to let us know if a
link is not working. Also, the Guest Book has reverted to HumorNet
UK, as HumorLinks will use the
Forums exclusively.
6th October 1999
We have added a new "Open
Forums" section with a number of joke forums and discussion groups.
24th September 1999
The said humorous
online greetings cards are now online
22nd September 1999
The new database is working well, and we are now receiving around 50
new site submissions per week. We are now working to provide humorous
online greetings cards, so stay tuned for that, coming soon
17th June 1999
We've revived our old name (HumorNet UK)
and have incorporated it as a section of HumorLinks
- making a clear distinction between the links section and that containing our own
content. The main links section, i.e. HumorLinks, is being redesigned with a new database.
We are now accepting site submissions to the new directory, and are working hard to
transfer all the existing site listings. In the meantime, the old site directory will
still be in use, but will not be accepting any new submissions.
4th May 1999
We've added the HumorLinks Partners page.
All websites which link to us are welcome to become "partners". After they join,
their click-throughs to us are counted and they are listed in the order of the traffic they
push our way. This should provide the ordinary visitor with a list of truly active humor
sites. Sites wishing to join should sign up at the HumorLinks
Partners page
17th April 1999
We have moved to another server in the United States called Hosting
4 Less which seems to be an excellent web
hosting service (if you're interested). Follow this link http://www.hosting4less.com and see what
they have to offer.
17th March 1999
We've moved to a new server (icom.com) in the United States, and are gradually settling
in. Our apologies for any downtime and our thanks for your patience.
5th March 1999
We now sell NTSC videos through CDNow.com and DVD Empire. We have added all the videos to
our database.
15th January 1999
We now sell PAL videos through iMVS.com and NTSC
videos through amazon.com, BigStar.com and reel.com. We have added some excellent links
to Excite services at the top of every page, including free
email, chat,
news,
stock
quotes and weather. These are convenient if you want to use HumorLinks as your start page. Finally, we
have added a message board
for you to post any questions etc. plus HumorLinks' very own chatroom (but it's still
usually pretty quiet in there). The HumorLinks Ring
now has 105 members and is ranked 9th on the list of Comedy webrings.
1st January 1999
Happy New Year to all our members and visitors!
