14th December 1998

through amazon.com and reel.com. The HumorLinks Ring
now has 90 members and is ranked 10th on the list of Comedy webrings.
28th October 1998
We have added an "Excite" web search engine to the bottom of every page, for the
convenience of our visitors. HumorLinks Ring now has 73
members and is ranked 12th on the list of Comedy webrings.

29th September 1998

updates by clicking on this
.
2nd September 1998
We've added a British comedy poll in an attempt to find out which TV BritCom is the most
popular.
In another development, all sites listed on HumorLinks can now display a small graphic to
that effect: -

21st August 1998
HumorLinks Ring now has 43 members and is ranked 15th on the
list of Comedy webrings. The new AltaVista E-Zone is featuring HumorLinks as one of the
best within its 14 entertainment channels.
25th June 1998
HumorLinks Ring now has 15 members. The
Monty Python site has changed its name to Monty Python
Tapes, Discs and Books. This suitably reflects the fact that people can
buy Monty Python tapes online from this site, should they so wish. New navigational button
logos have been added for all three websites (HumorLinks, Double Take and Month Python) in
order to make it easier to go from website to website. Some minor tweaking has been done
to make pages load faster. Academic link page has
been added/reinstated for those visitors wanting to find more info regarding humor
research. And people can now suggest a humor link
for our database.
6th May 1998
Double Take has been joined as a subweb by "A Complete
Monty Python Site" which has been handed over to us by Neils
Dahlslund. All sites now have a new look, using specially created FrontPage themes. Tapes
are selling well in the videostore, and this will be expanded in the near future. We have
also founded a webring called HumorLinks Ring.
Humor sites on the web are welcome to join.
22nd April 1998
HumorLinks has moved to a new home at http://humorlinks.com
11th April 1998
HumorNet UK has changed its name to HumorLinks. We feel the new name more accurately
describes what we are mainly offering - links - and puts the site in a more international
setting. We have also added a videostore where you can buy some great tapes.
26th March 1998
HumorNet UK has undergone some design changes, with a slightly new-look main page, new
hover buttons on the left frame plus the option to disable frames altogether (many people
don't like them). A new section New Links has been
created to contain all the latest additions to the database, leaving this page clear for
just highlighting the major site changes. A couple of friendly advertisement banners have
been added to the main page (to help cover costs) but total revenue has been negligible,
so we have decided to allow one prime-position paid ad (400X60max) just under the main
welcome graphic. Advertisers will pay US$30 per month - or US$40 for exclusive site
sponsorship. Other changes are mainly links being repaired and updated and the creation of
new link graphics. Any suggestions are, as always, welcome. Please contact us at warwick@humorlinks.com
